Praise.

PRAISE (verb): express warm approval or admiration of someone or something.

That is google's definition of the word praise. The word praise holds a big place in my heart and it even holds a place on my wrist. I got a tattoo of this word during my time at College of Coastal Georgia, while I was on a leadership team for a ministry on campus. I had a heart to help reach the people around me and be a LIGHT on my campus. But during my time of trying to help others I was the one who was touched the most. I went through some tough transitions while I was a part of that team and it brought my down to my core and reminded me who I was. I had lost the strong connection I use to have with the Lord and this helped me find me way back.

Along with that, I rediscovered my passion for music. I do not want to be a singer or have a role in the music world, but music has always been my go-to. When I am having a bad day or when I just want to make a good day even better I listen to music. Like I told you guys in one of my beginning blogs, if you need a pick me up just put in some headphones and turn on some Lauren Daigle.

Worshipping and singing praises to my God is the best way I know how to connect with Him or talk to him. It gives me time to pause from the fast pace of life and just say thank you, and give Him just a portion of the PRAISE that he deserves from me. The life I have been blessed with is more than I could have imagined for myself and show how grateful I am, to my God, so I got this tattoo as a simple reminder to stop and praise. To show Him how much I care, to celebrate him.

I am not saying to get a tattoo of a word just because it means a lot to you or telling you not to, I decided to get mine because I know personally I needed a permeant reminder of how I got to where I am in life, and to not forget about the most important part of it. There will be tough times and great times during my life, but God is my constant and this is my small daily reminder.
