Life is one heck of a ride
You can be on the highest of mountains and go to the lowest of valleys so fast.
You can be on the ride of a life time and fall off so fast.
You can be filled with the upmost joy and drop to the pits of defeat so fast.

Life has a way of changing before you ever really knew there was a change about to happen. It can be unfair and it can blindside you. BUT it can also bring you right back to where you needed to be all along. PRESENT.
As I am preparing to start back this semester of college, I have been hit with so much defeat, but also so much joy at the same time. It is hard to process it all sometimes. I have been complaining all break about the fact that so many of my friends are heading into their last semester of college and getting ready for such a major life change. Whether it be a big kid job, internships, engagements, grad school etc.
Yet I feel like I am miles behind in all those aspects.
Even though the could NOT be more untrue. I am actually where I am supposed to be. I have three great semesters left of college to live to the fullest, a great internship to find and discover more about my future, and a great future husband- all out there waiting on God's timing. You just having to choose to find the joy in it all.
And you know what? It is really hard to see His timing when you are looking in the opposite direction, whether it be anger about the past or complaints about the future. But His timing is always right, and it is always there. Period. Even when you can't see it. AND even when you aren't looking.
Joy is defined as, "Gladness not based on circumstances." Which means, not matter the situation you are in, you can CHOOSE JOY. There will always be bumps in the road that will try to make turn around, and some will win. But remember to keep your eyes on Him and HE will make it all worth while.
SO as we start back this semester, whether it be work, school or just everyday life. Choose be the light someone needs to see on a rough day. CHOOSE JOY. BE PRESENT.
